Kitty's: Sensa Weight Loss System Update - Lost 2 lbs on Day 3 - Reasons the System may work or not work







My scale said 228 lbs this morning.  Just really hoping this is Actually the product.  The only thing that makes me think that it might be is because I'm still eating ... between 1500 and 2000 calories a day and usually that NEVER works without me starving myself.  It is still to early to tell but I will bask in the weight loss ;0)  If I can get up to 12 lbs lost I will KNOW it's the Sensa and not my body (really 8 lbs lost but I'll stretch it to 12).

7:45am - Hungry

TIPS to Live by on Sensa For ME:
  • So I was thinking about some key points to remember during this journey as my guidelines.  You don't have to count calories but I actually LIKE to count calories cause it makes me more aware of what I'm putting in my mouth.  A skinny person shouldn't count calories but an overweight over-eater like myself should count calories. I got in this situation cause I eat more than I should, I eat past the point of satisfaction.
  • Scientist say it takes 20 minutes for the tummy to tell the brain it's full so if I'm woofing down 4,000 calories in 5 minutes I've eaten way more than I should.
  • I do believe ANY weightloss program will work for anybody it's just up to the individual and this is why they all use key words like "SENSIBLE DIET"  not a #6 supersize on the McD's menu= 3000 calories (by the way 3000 calories = 1 lb) . 
  • Eat slow, with Sensa it wont' take 20 minutes for your brain to get the message it is full and when your tummy is not growling anymore STOP EATING.  Late night snacks, shouldn't be calorie loaded, so if I'm up late I'll eat strawberries or some type of low calorie fruit or something. 


Things that might Hinder Weight Loss or Cause Weight Gain

  • Stuffy Nose-
  • Menstral Period
  • Not having a proper bowel movement
  • Woofing down about 4,000 to 5,000 calories a day (3000 calories = 1 lbs)
  • Also something to remember is Sensa is not a stimulant to shed pounds it just is to help control your portion sizes but if your eating a 4000 calorie meal and still eating it past the MOMENT your tummy says I'm full  it won't work...put the fork down and pack the rest away for tomorrow, I believe.





I have to say that I've NEVER been able to EAT and LOOSE WEIGHT not EVEN a pound in the past.  I don't want to get my hopes up yet,.....I'm thinking did the Sensa do that or was that a fluke like water weight or something???????????????

9:00am - A little Hungry
16 oz Yogurt , Strawberry & Granola Parfait - 600 calories

3 Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark Chocolate Squares (66 cal each) = 198 calories
so far 993 calories today

4:00 pm - Hungry
3 cups of buttered white rice = 510 with
12 meatballs = 450

1953 calories today,I know I don't have to count calories but I actually like to (3000 calories= 1 pound)  let's see what the scale says tomorrow it's 5pm I'm done eating unless I get ferociously hungry later then maybe tea or fruit.  No exercise today.

Well it's 5 pm and I made a commitment as a rule to stop eating after 5 pm cause I don't exercise usually because I'm TOO TIRED when I get home from work cause I'm up at 4 am with interrupted sleep through the night.  So, I won't be exercising on this weight loss journey, with the exception of daily picking my toddler up and down, walking around my job and the occasional walk after work with my child, sometimes it's to hot outside to take a walk or to dark.

Today my appetite was the same.  I've always complaint I have a incredible hunger when  I am hungry. 

I started Sensa last night May 2nd, 2011 (starting weight 230 lbs) on one meal and I noticed that I couldn't finish the snack I began to eat.

Today was my first full day on Sensa.  I can honestly say that I did feel a difference in feeling full quicker in the sense that my tummy wasn't growling and made an effort today to notice WHEN my tastebuds were satisfied and I could stop eating.

I only ate when I was hungry.  My meals are tamed today not necessarily because of Sensa but because of my efforts.  Even as I sit here and write I am a bit hungry again and I just ate.

7:30am - Hungry
Breakfast : Banana    170 calories (sorry I'm used to counting though you don't have too)
& an 8 oz Yogurt Parfait with strawberries and Granola  - 200 calories
(370 calories by 7:30am)

10am- Hungry
Drank the Orange Flavor water from Sensa to boost your metabolism
Snack:  I had 2 packs of peanuts M&M's  = 500 calories (250 each pack)
Drank 16 oz of water
(870 calories by 10am)


2pm  Hungry
But I can't leave my desk

3pm I'm off work -Hungry
Ate 1 red Apple  - 44 calories
& still HUNGRYYYY
(914 calories by 3pm) 

4pm - I've Sprinkled all day except the M&M's, finally home 
I ate 1 chicken breast,      235 calories
8oz of Macaroni & Cheese  343 calories
2 cups of Beef Stew  -190 calories
1682 calories today

5pm - My tummy is growling TOLD YOU I HAD A BIG APPETITE!!!! But I've gotta shut down the kitchen cause I usually binge around this time so I have to exercise self control, cause i could EASILY go rack up another 2,000 calories.  Averaging about 3 to 4,000 calories today yes...EXCESSIVE.   I ate what I wanted I'm hardly anorexic just have to train my tummy to not be so greedy.


UPDATE:  a reply to comment by AmandaRae below:   you just taught me something and that EXPLAINS ALOTTTTTTTTTTTTT!  last night I didn't go to be until 10pm which was 5hours after my cut off but I thought I was cheating cause I had 3 extra large strawberries and falfel chips (matza crackers another 100 calories I'm sure) So thank you Now I Don't feel as bad you just gave me a gift...knowledge SMILES

I came home and got on YouTube where I heard about Sensa and watched average, unstaged testimonies and I have a better understanding of what to expect.

Average Loss is 5 lbs a month x 6 months = 30 lbs of weight loss

Everyone is different cause I sprinkled and the Salty smells like OLD DIRTY SOCKS for the first 10 seconds but then it goes away and MY FOOD TASTED NORMAL.  Other people said their food tasted different but that was not my case today let me see what happens in the coming weeks. 

People said they did not have to exercise and some people did cause THEY WANTED to .  As I told you earlier I won't be exercising.  

One thing I did observe as a Chronic Overeater is that with this Eating Disorder YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO YOUR BODY.  The Second it is satisfied STOP EATING. 









Wow my BMI is 35%, Starting Weight is 230lbs, 5'8 1/2 in height, Waist Line = 42 inches.

I'm a single mom and I gained 120lbs during my pregnancy with gestational diabetes.  3 weeks after birth I lost 70 lbs and have hovered around 230lbs for 3 years now....Now I'm ready for it to come off.
