Actor Michael Cory Davis goes nude for human trafficking

Thandie Newton's Sexy Lover in Tyler Perry's For Colored Girls Bares All for Child Trafficking

Michael Cory Davis uses calendar of his nude body to promote awareness, encourages everyone to become "Body of Change"

Los Angeles, Calif.-December 10, 2010-Michael Cory Davis, an actor/activist/filmmaker who has been involved in the fight to end human trafficking for the past seven years, announces the launch of his 2011 "Body of Change" calendar. Proceeds from calendar sales will go toward new anti-trafficking initiatives headed by the non-profit organization, Artists United for Social Justice.

Michael Cory Davis appears in the opening of Tyler Perry's latest film, For Colored Girls, leaving a lasting impression in an unforgettable nude scene with Thandie Newton. With the response to his scene so overwhelming, Davis saw an opportunity to tie in this popularity with his activism in order to bring light to an issue that has been his focus for the past seven years.

"As vulnerable as it was to strip down for the film and again for the calendar, I think of how many victims of sex trafficking are forced to do this multiple times a day at the hands of perpetrators," said actor, Michael Cory Davis. "It's frustrating that the public still is not fully informed about the risk to their children. There is a misconception that this is an issue outside the U.S. when hundreds of thousands of American kids are trafficked within our borders each year. I hope this calendar serves as a tool to start and continue the conversation-we can all be bodies of change."

With a true activist's heart, Michael decided to include social justice events and commemorative days along with his own personal motivational quotes with each picture in the calendar. The calendar retails for $19.99 and can be ordered by visiting WWW.BODYOFCHANGECALENDAR.COM
