You have been most kind in your assistance about determining Ms. Glover's 'claimed' Metis status, and I am in your debt.
I'm not particularly happy that she appears to have self appointed herself to publicly speak on behalf of Metis people, and can assure you that I do not agree with, or appreciate her efforts in that regard.
Once again, thank you for your help.

Dear Don:
You are indeed welcome. It is our opinion Ms Glover's comments should be taken with a grain of salt. Our highly scientific, sophisticated rolling poll suggests the Saint Boniface race is close. Currently, former Liberal incumbent Raymond Simard is leading 16 points to 11. Shelly Glover was simply attempting to cultivate riding's Metis vote who could be the deciding factor.
We have a parallel in Manitoba Federation President David Chartrand who for years has been publicly saying, "The MMF represents all Manitoba Metis." But does it or is it a myth Canadian taxpayers continue to fund in large part?
If such were the case why did the Federal Minister of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada recently tender a contract for about $60,000 to the Canadian Standards Association to come up with a universally accepted and verifiable definition of a Metis something the MMF has been unsuccessfully p..s balling around with for over 20-years? Talk about a slap in the face.
Sincerely,
Clare L. Pieuk
