Things to know about Loc Extensions!

Loc extensions are wonderful if you do not want to go through the short stage of loc'ing or if you just want to start your locs with some length. I do them all the time and there are some things you need to be aware of.

1. Size...locs with be the size of the amount of hair you put in the parts, and the parts must be equal in size to have uniform locs...the bigger the part the bigger the loc.

2. Color...if you get loc extensions, the color of the hair you are using when putting it in your hair, is the color your extensions will always be.. some people want to color their locs after some time but loc extension hair does not color. you can deposit a color of the white hair 613 but you cannot lift dark hair to light...so choose your color wisely because thats the color your gonna be. now if you want color contrast you can mix the color of your extensions and have 2 different colors.

3. Maintenance....you can maintain your hair at home, but at least every 4 to 6 weeks you should go in to the shop to make sure your locs are growing evenly and no new growth has disturbed your parting. you dont want the locs to tangle because your natural hair will love its new found freedom and start growing wildly...lol

4. Stying...loc extensions can be styled just as easily as natural locs...you can rollerset them to make it curly and braid set to make it crinkled . they are wonderful and light weight!
