Returned to the News Cafe this morning - what an interesting place we'd highly recommend! Excellent menu, excellent tea - excellent everything. There was a constant stream of interesting people coming and going including WFP camerapersons, reporters, technicians - the location is equipped for live streaming.
Even encountered a senior Free Press investigative reporter we've know now for several years. It was great to get caught up on bygone days and "current situations." Suffice it to say we had a totally fascinating conversation - thoroughly enjoyed it!
What made it even better was the cup of tea they bought us - delicious. It came in a plastic container inverted over a porcelain cup so the water could drain directly over the leaves. Hadn't seen that before. We're starting to sound like a WFP food critic. A must stop if you're anywhere near 237 McDermot Avenue in the Exchange District.
Sincerely,
Clare L. Pieuk
